Begin with the installed version and the exact symptom. A loading error, an account error and a broken weapon interaction need different evidence. Old reports are clues; they are not proof that the same bug is still active.
Establish a clean PC baseline
Official support recommends updating or removing mods and modloaders, checking drivers and the operating system, and returning overclocked hardware to stock settings. The 3.8 engine upgrade is an extra reason to check mod compatibility. Preserve your mod list and settings before changing them. On Steam, use the game's Properties and file-integrity verification. These are PC steps, not instructions to modify console files.
Recognize issues that already received fixes
The 3.8.1 notes fixed DualSense input on PC; Steam users who had forced Steam Input for that issue could disable the workaround. The 3.10.1 notes fixed the Quickshot/Return Policy reload conflict on Thunder’s Scythe and several dual-weapon problems. First update and retest. A patch note documents a fix, not a guarantee that every similar symptom has the same cause.
Separate account and gameplay failures
New-player headless accounts arrived in 3.10. That does not tell an established player with a sign-in failure to delete or unlink their account. Record the exact error, platform and whether the problem occurs before the menu or inside a heist. Never send passwords, session tokens or recovery codes in a public bug report.
Escalate with reproducible details
Give official support the game version, platform, mission and difficulty, host/client role if relevant, active mods, and the smallest sequence that reproduces the problem. State what changed after testing without mods or verifying files. Include a screenshot or short recording with private details removed. If a basic step does not help, do not keep repeating destructive account resets; use the official support route linked below.
